BIOGRAPHY
Madi Brunetti is a multimedia artist from Denver, Colorado. She works primarily with oil paint, hand-embroidery, insects, and more recently, sound. Madi plays with the balance between the grotesque and the sublime as it’s seen in nature and ourselves in order to heal and reconcile past traumas. Her work has been a part of several group shows exhibited at the History Colorado Center, the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, and the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder, CO.
After receiving her BA in Studio Art from Fort Lewis College in December 2021 Madi completed a 6-month residency at The Art Gym, a shared studio space and gallery, culminating in Translucid, her first major body of work. A year later, she exhibited like an open wound, her first solo exhibition at Bell Projects, a gallery located in the heart of Denver. Currently, Madi works with disabled youth, sharing how an art practice can become a safe space.
